I own a 2006 prius, have had it for about 4 months. I am approaching the 60k mile mark and just had my winter tires put and they said I had my 60k check up coming up. Is this necessary in your opinions? I bought the prius off the lot 4 months ago, i realize thats not a gurentee the car is in perfect health, just looking for some advice. Thanks

At the very least, I'd make sure the fluids get changed- inverter coolant, radiator, and trans.

Inverter and ICE coolant are good for 100k miles in a Gen2 Prius. I agree that the ATF should be changed (should be about $100 at a dealer). JeffD
