I've noticed on the web that there are several Prius 2010 bike rack receiver manufacturers, any recommendations?

    < < < I'm thrilled with my roof-top bike/kayak/ski carrier.

It's produced by Thule, and involves putting together various components.
It's rather costly, but -- it's a high priority for me, therefore, worth it.

The bike & kayak are very secure, and there's no scratch impact on the car; nor is there any wind noise.

I think there are (2) manufacturers with 2" receivers. I'd suggest getting a 2" since they are more durable, and more versatile... There are an abundance of things for the 2" ...

    Re: Hitch and Bike Rack
I recently ordered a hitch mount and bike rack for my 2010 Prius. I couldn’t be more pleased.

The hitch(Draw-Tite) only required removing 4 bolts, mounting the frame and replacing the bolts. It fit perfectly and is hardly noticeable. (Price $100)

There is even a video on installation.

The bike rack(Tow-Ready) really worked out well. It is very stable and allows the rear hatch to open, even with the bike mounted. You can tilt the rack out, but no need to on the Prius. ($90)

With free shipping, I only paid $190 for both the hitch and the bike rack from etrailer.com.
