Since 1980, there has been a concerted effort globally to reduce man-made aerosols since those aerosols also attack the ozone layer.

Since 2001, the temperature is relatively constant in many data sets, because of La Nina and the decadal solar minimum.

Once the solar minimum has passed, expect to see a major jump in temperatures. It is expected that there will be record temperatures in the next couple years.

The UN weather agency has just disagreed with radioprius:

COPENHAGEN – This decade is on track to become the warmest since records began in 1850, and 2009 could rank among the top-five warmest years, the U.N. weather agency reported Tuesday on the second day of a pivotal 192-nation climate conference.

UN: 2000-2009 likely warmest decade on record - Yahoo! News

Normally I only link to original papers or data but this was to appropriate to let it pass.

That's fine. Most climatologists will also say the earth has been warming since the Little Ice Age. But this has nothing to do with CO2.

Perhaps, perhaps not. Kevin Trenberth of the Climategate emails says "the fact is we can't account for the current cooling and it is a travesty that we can't".

If it is La Nina or some other cycle(s) and solar effects, that will be news to the climate modelers who, to my knowledge, do not understand or account for such effects.

This is what climate research should be determining. It is well established that the earth moves through warming and cooling cycles. Until we can establish why this occurs, it is highly premature to attribute all or most of any recent warming to CO2. Isn't that obvious?

And yet we have this, from the CRU.

Edit: I'm not a world renown climate scientist, but I'm pretty sure if something was going forward, and then it goes backwards, then it's slowing down. You know, like when you let off the gas pedal. Your speed goes down :) You may still be speeding, but you speed is slowly decreasing!

You've spammed that 4 times. Will you be surprised when you end up banned again?

Well I wanted to serve you and the truth as best I can. The AGW threads are numerous, why I don't know. We only need one, and we had it. Now we are all spread out.

The truth? No offense but you are incredibly outclassed here. You just spammed some lame newspaper article 5-6 times. You have a lot of reading to do to catch up and be able to make some ground in these discussions.

Shouldn't you leave that decision up to those who actually understand the basics of climate change and the variables involved?

Why do you continue to insist on cherry-picking data?

The only way you get a decline using their data is if you start at 2001 or later. The shorter the time period, the more variability affects the results.

You do yourself a disservice by looking at short term trends, when you should be looking at long term trends.

Yes, I know it's cold right now, but trust me, it will warm up 3-4 months.

No offense taken. You'll continue to cherry pick and lie and I'll continue to post interesting articles that: a) make you look foolish, b) make you mad, and c) show readers that you're overall stance on AGW is ridiculous.

9 years is a significant amount of time in a period of 160 years. So is 46.

Not when you consider natural variability or even that sunspot cycles last 11yrs. Please do your research on the science and stop cherry-picking data to support a case. Read up on the Maunder Minimum with regards to the LIA.

I appreciate that you ignored the 46 year period :)

Please show me where I have once indicated that I believe there is a 1:1 relationship. It is the AGWers who make the claim that CO2 is the MAJOR driver of catastrophic warming. YOU are the ones mitigating the importance of the myriad other natural factors driiving the climate.

    Laughable.
