A wish list after just 5 days of driving my Prius, many items mentioned before but maybe Toyota is watching and will see what they need to look at next time:
    - LED lights, little interior ones as well under console
    - lockable glove and/or rear compartment
    - color coordinated interior so that the trunk area is not light (and therefor also much more susceptible to dirt) while the rest is dark gray
    - telescoping steering wheel with greater range in/out and up/down
    - seat height adjustment for both front seats, needs to go lower as well
    - larger rear wiper
    - HUD option
    - customizable options by owner, not dealer
    - noise suppressing panels like Dynamats
    - higher front bumper, actually more clearance overall
    - 5 year-60,000 mile warranty standard
    - a way to work/play with the navigation system while driving (passenger can do it)
    - some way to cover the hybrid info on the dash to limit distraction for easily distracted driver

I don't wish Prius have anything.

Just wish the other Manufactures get their act together and push out their hybrid as quick as possible so to give Toyota Prius run for their money.

What we are getting right now are very cheap quality materials so don't expect the next Prius to have anything at all. Even they skip on the paint quality (if you have the stock paint that is).

More competition the better stuff we will get.

I'd like the interior lights to be brighter or at least better directed for reading in the car.

I also wish you could lock the car with the keyfob when one of the doors is open. (Is this programmable, BTW?). It's kinda hard to use the keyfob when you just picked up packages, but you can still close the door with your knee.

No its not programmable. It is supoosed to be a safefy feature so that you won't forget to close all the doors! If you leave just one door opened and tried to lock the door then it will BEEP you like crazy.
I think it is a good feature. If you don't have enough hands then get your wife to carry those packages for you like I do. I just use the finger to press the botton on the key fob. :)

I've had the car nearly 3 months and only driven 1300 miles
There's a couple of things I'd like, apart from a bit more grunt - The power/eco buttons on the gear selector lever, and ability to configure the display so I can get rid of the settings and seat belt screens when driving.

I have a Euro-spec premium car, so it is really loaded (solar sunroof, HUD, leather, navi, technology, LED, tech, etc). Still after 3 month of ownership there are a few things I wish I had with this car:

EV mode available at speed of 50km/h or more
    Speed limiter for city driving
    Powerseats with memory
Same steering wheel ratio as on models with 17'' wheels
Better fuel economy (i'm getting around 43mpg, the advertised figure here in europe is 60mpg, but to be fair the traffic sucks here)

But most of them I wish the car had a more upmarket dashboard. The eco-plastics simply feels cheap, they should have at least used foam instead.

I wish my 2010 Prius had a rubber bumper guard because since I can't see past the windshield wipers and the front end is so low I've scraped a few curbs.

I just wish the driver's door armrest was 1/2" higher and had thicker padding.

I believe in the DISP button on the Steering Wheel you can turn off the display which shows the consumption and Hybrid Info....

Check it out...it's in the options as you select...and get to the menu you should be able to TURN OFF DISPLAY

    Give it a try! ;)

Someone here had an ingenious idea of installing the rear bumper onto that front chin spoiler.. ish.. area. I think it's a brilliant idea.

Not a biggie unless you are female.....I want a place to stow my medium size purse. Space under console needs to be bigger.

I really like the comment with the dual sun visor option... I had this on a 2002 mercury Sable and you would think it would be available on most cars in 2010 !
Or is it I need to get better Sunglasses???

Like the LED light option suggestions.

Also ability to lock door from passenger side. I have been driving my disabled Mom a lot and helping her get out of car makes me have to use the fob the old fashioned way...

The ability to have solar panel do more when car is driving is so attractive, and of course the plug in... Would be nice to take at least some of battery out in hot / cold weather would be nice.

    1) A diesel engine for 100mpg.
    2) Cheap replacement remotes.
    3) Inclinometer for automatic battery braking mode.
    4) Hibernate mode for stored vehicle to preserve battery charge.
    5) 2010 model closeout rebates.

Simple, add another MG3 to drive the rear wheels.

Beware that this will also turn off the bluetooth. See pg 175 of manual.

Well, my wish is that it DOESN'T turn off the bluetooth if the screen is turned off:(

Another thing in my wish list is a "sticky" PWR mode button which stays pressed even if car is turned off. The ECO button is already "sticky". Why can't they do the same to PWR?

Next in my wish list is auto-EV mode whenever the car is stopped so it always starts on EV from stand still. Oh yes, almost forgot, change that DAMN HUGE full screen "EV not available" warning to just a line on top of screen similar to "Audio volume changed" message.

This next wish item is way out there but what the heck: make the hatch door two positional, so that you can "half-close" it converting the car to a traditional hatch-back like a SUV, making a much taller truck space. With this feature we can really call it a "convertible" car!

Oh, of course with the above hatch-back door in "half-close" position, you'd expect the owner is filling the trunk with really tall cargo that blocks the rear view windows. So that should also turn the reverse camera on the screen all the time even while driving forwards. Or at least make it a button activated feature.

You CAN have the rear view camera on all the time. Though that is kind of a pain since you have to set it up everytime you start the car. And, in my opinion, (ok i get motion sickness) it does little to no good when driving. the angle is bad, and things just move way too fast (and get outside range). but it is possible to do it. i've posted the how to in another thread.

you mean the rear bumper protector that comes standard on the IV? how would you install that in the front? seems like a plausible idea, however i would think it'd be a lot of trouble.

I read that thread and tested it on my Prius and it worked thanks but no thanks I'm still dizzy after that test;)

I guess I should add to my wish list that the reversing cam angles can be remotely controlled.

Oh just reading the news thread about the new Pigot diesle hybrid that they have a MG to drive the rear axle as 4-wheel drive. I'm adding this as a wish list to the next gen Prius too, just add another MG2 to power the rear axle (and maybe double the battery utilizing the hidden space under the cargo floor).
Imagine: Prius VI, four wheel drive, 214hp convertible sports edition!:cheer2:

As a current non-owner...just about the only thing I would objectively say..is I wish Prius was available with simply a factory moonroof...across all the package lines.

Without the added weight and cost of the solar panel I think it could be offered with the bells and whistles of the Prius V. Or even more economically with less equipped models...and I think that would be nice. Having it linked to the solar panel and only on very few III's and much more expensive IV's...is limiting.

I'll admit that I'm a big fan of moonroofs, and I find it frustrating that so many automakers seem to act like making them available is like spinning straw into gold. To me? It's a hole in a roof...something I like, but not something that should be so hard and expensive to get in so many models of vehicle....and NOT just the Prius.
