You should definitely powder coat or professionally spray the wheels black. I got mine off Craigslist also, but opted to give it a unique look, so I got'em painted.

Congrats on the car and the car mods, and that new 100. Nice wheels.

My Prius purcahse was why I didn't get a 5dII this year. Perhaps I'll hold out for the III (2011), or get impatient and pick up a 7D in '10.

lol.... still nothing compared to us.

we have a 5% GST (used to 7% a few years ago). This is a federal tax and goes to Ottawa.

Each province has its own PST (provincial sales tax) ranging from 0% (e.g. Alberta) to 8% (in Ontario). PST is only applicable on certain things and isn't applicable to houses or cooked food for example but it is applicable to cars and household items etc.

So you could potentially have 13% tax added on. If you're in la belle province of Quebec, they have what's called "HST" or harmonized sales tax which means both GST and PST are applicable to EVERYTHING. I believe Ontario has it and BC will start on July 1.

Relating to cars, each province has a fuel excise tax (usually in the 3% range). Every new car sold with A/C in Canada gets charged a $100 Federal A/C Excise Tax and you probably know that our Freight/PDI is about 2x yours

($1,295-$1,495 for Toyota and nearly $2k for a Lexus)

now i know why quebec want to secede from canada! vive la quebec! :)

oh, and nice blizzard pearl... i'm still deciding on what tint combo to get. what did you get on your back window?

i'm a nikon guy... but the 7D is a nice "axe." my brother-in-law has one.

and for bokeh, nothing beats my Nikkor 50mm f1.4, although my Sigma 30mm f1.4 is also very nice indeed.

All 600D, your black wheels look sick! Wow, love the white and black scheme. Great job!

Tideland, okay, now I feel better about our 9.75%. Wow, I cannot believe the tax rates up in Canada. I wanted to retire there, but not anymore! JK.

Sdleo, I went back and got the back reinstalled at 35%. So it's 70% front, rear windows and 35% hatch window. I think it's perfect that way.

Also, I just picked up the Sigma 50 1.4 not too long ago and I think that's the new bokeh king! Looks very similar to the 50 1.2! Love the 50 1.4 Nikon though.

Car looks great! Were you happy with the tint work at California Tint? That 70% looks great and I think I want to do that as well.

OH, and the wheels rock. When my tires go, I'm going to get something like that.
