I am looking at buying a certified pre-owned Prius and the 3 that are at the dealer right now are a 2006 Prius with Stability control with 32K MI. ($18K) a 2006 with 45K MI ($17K) and a 2005 with 61K MI ($15K). If anybody has any thoughts as to which may be a better purchase I would love to hear them. I and the cars are located in New England.
    Thanks.

Welcome to the site. Is the dealer providing carfax reports? Get the VIN & register them at
    http://www.toyotaownersonline.com/index.html
so you can see service records. You should also ask the dealer about the packages (options) on the cars.
    2006 notes
    VSC package 4-8
JBL 6 CD changer package 5-8
HID headlights & fog lights package 6-8
    Nav package 7-8
    Factory leather package 8
The 4 floor mats & cargo area mat are accessories so weren't part of the MSRP.

Compared to the 2005 the '06 has a better MFD, software upgrades, and textured plastic interior.

The prices seem to be fair. If there aren't any surprises & you like the packages you should be happy with either '06.

Forgive me, I have not owned a car in 6 years, what does "MFD" stand for? Thanks.

MFD = Multi Function Display - it is the screen that resides in the center of the dash and displays radio, climate control, fuel economy, and Navigation (if you have Nav) information.
