    Dobey,

Thanks for the link. I looked at the C-One but having FINALLY figured out the problem with the BT Tech brace if the same thing is wrong with the Tom's it can be corrected at the shop here.

    Blue Umbrella,

You may want to read this: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...schat-has-lost-dear-friend-brian-bt-tech.html
I don't believe BT is still in business because of Brian's passing but could be wrong on that one.

    1Smuglex,

Thanks for the endorsement I will keep Carson in mind. I actually spoke with Danny and he is trying to get a supplier for the Tom's parts so he can list them in the PriusChat store. If he can do that I will give him my business because this site is worth keeping in business :)

    Happy driving,
    Chris

These are some old pictures of the Tom's braces I installed. I was not able to find pictures of the Strut and the Middle brace. Pictures of the braces only, not installed, can be found at Sigmaauto.com

    hello SaeGai06,

first of all I apologize for my poor English, but I will do my best. I'm Italian and I studied English in school without ever having practiced.

Many thanks for your photos !! Even if they are old, are a novelty for me !! The information that I can draw from these pics are so many ! I have already installed the BT Tech front strut and plate (less understeer, noise stops on the dashboard, quieter engine) thanks to this forum posts.

Soon be ordering the TOM'S rear braces and lower front kit and I expect a big improvement in handling (at the cost of much added weight).

question: but have you not lowered the car with a set of springs ? If so, why have you made this choice ? The next change for me will be the TRD rear bar and Tom's rear and lower front braces. Which of the two (TRD and TOM'S) gave greatest increase in handling ?

    many thanks

Your welcome. I'm glad I was able to find them to show.

I decided not to replace the struts and springs because i did not want to lower the vehicle. I wanted to keep the factory height and not have to worry about ground clearance.

I could not comment on installation of each piece and how each piece effected handling since I installed all the TOM'S braces at once and noticed a huge difference.

I did install the TRD rear sway bar recently and noticed the rear tires stayed planted during faster turns.

    Hello SaeGai06,

    a welcome is always welcome

it's nice to hear that your Prius has gained a lot in handling without lowering. I am very confident that I too will increase the handling with the missing pieces of TOM'S.

I recently lowered the car with LOWTEC springs manufactured in Germany, keeping the original equipment shock absorbers. Nothing particular to these springs, but soon I will report on this mod with a new thread.

Rear TRD Bar has increased oversteer ? can you say that the car will not ever caused problems ?

    many thanks for your reply

The rear TRD bar did not increase oversteer but decreased the oversteer.

The only thing that I would suggest that you shoud not get is the middle TOM'S bar. It sits right on the catalytic converter and rattles from time to time. I have already tried to hammer a flat spot but it still rattles. other than that, i've been happy with my TOM'S purchases.

    Hi SaeGai06,

Ok. Your driving experience is good and it's a pleasure to enjoy of your report. I've never been involved in oversteering in two years of driving the Prius with OE springs and shocks. Has this ever happened to you ?
These are very precious informations. I think that I will not purchase that TOM'S part.

When you do, I'd be interested in your assessment of the handling differences.
