    Oh, My!

Anyone who has been following the recent developments re CRU and the E-mails leaked by a whistleblower knows that RealCLimate.org is the propaganda wing of a cabal of scientists involved in agenda-driven science. It is anything but an independent organization with scientific truth as its goal.

Please read this E-mail where 'RC' refers, of course, to RealClimate:

    From: "Michael E. Mann" <[email protected]>

guys, I see that Science has already gone online w/ the new issue, so we
put up the RC post. By now, you've probably read that nasty McIntyre
thing. Apparently, he violated the embargo on his website (I don't go
there personally, but so I'm informed).

Anyway, I wanted you guys to know that you're free to use RC in any way
you think would be helpful. Gavin and I are going to be careful about
what comments we screen through, and we'll be very careful to answer any
questions that come up to any extent we can. On the other hand, you
might want to visit the thread and post replies yourself. We can hold
comments up in the queue and contact you about whether or not you think
they should be screened through or not, and if so, any comments you'd
    like us to include.

You're also welcome to do a followup guest post, etc. think of RC as a
resource that is at your disposal to combat any disinformation put
forward by the McIntyres of the world. Just let us know. We'll use our
best discretion to make sure the skeptics dont'get to use the RC
    comments as a megaphone...

I made a post on my blog:

Nearly Identical Rates of Warming The Climate Conspiracy

Basically, it uses the IPCC's method of using trend lines to estimate rates of warming for the three main warming periods we've experienced since 1860. Basically, it shows that the rates of warming for the three periods are all pretty close, but our two most recent warming periods have almost identical rates of warming. Basically, using the same technique as the IPCC can show you that our most recent warming did not occur at a rate that was unique.

Note, this is not meant to be a scientific disproof of AGW. It's just a bit of fun using the same trickery that the IPCC uses.

wy are we al talking about climate change having a hotter climate...
hotter climate means melting of the polar ice what wil disturb oceanic cool and warm water flows. this will then bring a new ice age not a hotter climate
its nature's way of dealing with climate changes.

The Climatic Research Unit predicted that snowfalls and cold winters would become a thing of the past. back in March 2000. It is a prediction of global warming theory that the climate will change and we will experience warmer winters and not have many snow falls.

In fact, the NOAA Climate Prediction Center programmed their climate models with what they consider to be good data, and their models predicted a warm Autumn this year. They were miserably wrong!

In fact, this Autumn has been very, very cold, with hundreds of new cold and snow records set the last couple of weeks.

It is so cold, that in the USA people are dying because they can't afford to run their heaters. Imagine if we had passed Cap and Trade because of "global warming" and these people are taxed even more on their energy consumption. That would directly lead to more deaths! If we continue this decent into cooling then we may need to look into more government subsidization of energy use to prevent people from dying because they are too poor to pay the heating bill. Yikes.

Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past

Lots of snow last winter, and this winter has had a ridiculous amount of snow, with still more to come. This isn't just "snow", this is record amounts of snow and record cold. Not to mention that the earth has been cooling for 8-9 years, and we've been without statistically significant warming since 1995.

The global warming hypothesis made predictions, and the predictions failed. The climate models made predictions for changes in climate, and those predictions failed as well. Yikes!

the snow i have seen to date is nothing compared what i used to se in the 80's
so my current experience is not the same that you have.
but its more cold where i life now then its been for 25 years.
i think thats just part of nature

if what you say is that the earth is cooling for 8-9 years wy are the ice caps melting?

Ice in the Arctic is melting. Ice in Antarctica is expanding. Go figure.

About the cooling, he actually wrote a blog post about it:

They're not melting. Antarctica's icecap is expanding, while the Arctic's is expanding again after a contraction a couple of years ago. This minor and not unprecedented retreat was caused by "weather", rather than "climate", and was due to periodic changes in the circulation patterns of the oceans. Face it, the earth is cooling again after a rise that ended late in the last century. No, polar bears are not roasting/drowning as the World Wildlife Fund's television advertisements are still claiming. (One wonders what happens to their fraudulently solicited donations if there are no polar bear cubs to save? Just wondering...) Yes, Mount Kilimanjaro's icecap is shrinking, but it's happening due to a process called "sublimation". This is where ice evaporates without first melting. You can see it in your freezer. The temperatures on top of the mountain never exceed 0-C, so the ice can't be melting. The shrinkage is rightfully blamed on man-made agricultural deforestation around the base of the mountain.

A lot of good and trusting people have been hoodwinked, and the world's politicians are compounding the crime by taking advantage of their fears to justify expansion of governmental power. Disgusting? You bet!

i did write "where i life"
i have not seen any record low's here
only if you look at the past 5 years haha but thats not something useful.

ok if this ic correct wy is this info not on the news channels?

and if temp is falling again after a raise it then will get up again after this cold periode
and what if this new hot periode will be hotter then before and the cold periode colder then before...or maybe not colder?

there are a lot if IF's.... i think.
but if i look at the koopenhagen climate meeting the only thing that people where talking about is co2 and there are a lot more things then co2.. just thinks about clean air.

Because most of the mainstream media are in the tank with the Alarmists and the Liberal Governments. Look at ClimateGate: it's arguably the biggest science news item in history, but you don't hear about it in the media. "If" they mention it they pronounce there's nothing to it without doing due diligence to investigative journalism.

Sure, anything could happen, and has been happening for millenia without man's influence.

Copenhagen was a pure political process, it had nothing to do with science. It had everything to do with wealth redistribution from rich countries to tin-pot dictatorships in the third-world. Just look at the facts in evidence, don't believe the politicians or the scientists they bought and paid for.

Totally agree. ClimateGate is possibly the greatest scientific scandal ever, and it's been completely ignored by the media, except for Fox News. I've read a little about this, and it seems that the media likes to pretend that it determines what is true and what is not true. They've been pushing global warming for so long, for them to turn around and admit any fault would make them look foolish.

Just to show how bad the media is with global warming, look at this:

    Antarctic Sea Ice

It's really ridiculous. The media likes to make things look bad by saying the ice is melting away in Antarctica, but in reality it's getting larger! But saying "nothing exciting is happening in Antartica" doesn't sell papers, unfortunately.

    So, wow:

    ICECAP

The above article discusses poor station data even more:

Just insanity. So the majority of stations that close are rural ones, and some stations that have been closed have their data filled in from urban areas. Words can not even describe how screwed up this is. Global warming truly is "man made." I was grilling outside tonight and I was laughing to myself (my fiance could care less) about the photo of the thermometer over the grill. My grill was reading 350-400'F. Can't imagine how much that would influence a thermometer directly above it!

    So check this out:

BBC swaps “coldest December since 1981″ headline Watts Up With That?

BBC News had a story titled "Coldest December since 1981." It appears (so there is some degree of uncertainty) that they pulled the article, and put a new one up. The new one is titled "Icy conditions lead to closure of Giant’s Causeway."

Both articles have the same URL:

BBC News - Icy conditions lead to closure of Giant's Causeway

The only mention of temperature in the new article is this:

"The mean temperature was 1.5C, the coldest average measurement since 1981."

    Oh, and:

"The average temperature for 2009, at 9.87C, was close to the average of 9.94C for the last 20 years."

I guess all the true believers are silenced by the overwhelming consensus that catastrophic anthropogenic global warming is a fraud.

Congratulations to the skeptics, the true champions of rigoruos science, and rejectors of the falsification of science for political ends.

    Good work.

I'm going on a mini unforced vacation, although I may return at any time.
