I am not sure we are comparing apples and apples. My son in law just rented a 2010 Prius from Avis which he was surprised to see did not have cruise control when he got on I-95 to drive to our place for Christmas break. From my review of the electronic brochure on the Toyota website it says that all Gen III have cruise control.

The fleet manager at the dealership I bought my V from said he handled the sale to Avis. They came indirectly from SEToyota.

What does ymmv mean? I have seen this a few times on this forum but have yet to see what it means. I can guess but would rather know :)

YMMV... that's what should be displayed in big bold letters right beside the 2010 Prius in showrooms...

I put this thread in the 2010 forum by accident, in as much as the quote references 2008 pricing for the G2 Prius. Nonetheless, I wouldn't be real surprised if current pricing was not too far off, since Toyota cost-cutting seems to have about matched inflation, or even done a bit better.
