According to Toyota there is an unwritten 1 year grace period for the coupons you get with the prepaid maintenance plan that is honored by all dealers.

I bought the prepaid maintenance with my car with the assurance that I could use it for 4 years even though the plan was supposedly a 3 year plan. When I got the coupons they had the expiration date at 3 years. So I stopped by the dealership since if it was only good for 3 years I didn't want it as I don't put that many miles on my car. He called Toyota directly and let me speak to the guy there who assured me that there is an unwritten 1 year grace period for the coupons you get with the prepaid maintenance plan. I wanted to get this in writing and he said it is not in writing anywhere but all dealerships honor it.

Now that they've changed the requirements for oil changes I'm going to cancel the plan (I can get a full refund since it's been less than 60 days and I haven't used it at all.) but I thought those of you with prepaid maintenance would like to know about the grace period even though Toyota will presumably be making adjustments based on this change.

Something so simple to give it to in writing is just standard business. Sometimes those little things like that add up toward the whole rep.
