I tried going to Toyota online tech support today because I'm looking to find a wiring schematic for my 05 - but after I signed up and plunked down $15, I later find out I can use the site because I'm on a mac! I can't browse the site, or download anything because I'm on a mac - of course, that didn't seem to be a problem for them to take my money!

Anyway, rather than giving up and asking for the money back, I figured perhaps someone here could help. In exchange for getting this wiring diagram for me, you can have access for two full days to download anything you want.

So, hit me up and let me know if you're interested. I'm hoping to find someone ASAP to get this wiring schematic for me. And maybe others will have requests as well?? Happy to offer my help...er, rather, my two day pass (exp. 1/14)

Get in touch if you can help! Thanks!

Site? What was the error you got? Web sites are not usually platform specific...it's likely a browser incompatibility, not an OS problem.

I presume that you were using Safari -- try, instead, using a standard (not Apple) browser, like Firefox. Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable I know it's available for the MAC, and is compatible between operating systems. Even my LINUX systems use it, and I don't have compatibility problems, even with sites as proprietary as microsoft.com

Yeah, I know it's weird. I've never had a problem like this - the site would log me in, and then tell me I couldn't go on displaying an error message. I tried Firefox, no go. I tried updating certain browser requirements, no go. Finally I found this under the FAQ:

    System Requirements Answers -
I use a MAC instead of an IBM compatible PC. Can I use the All New TIS site?
No, unfortunately we still have some challenges to overcome with the plug-ins required for TIS working properly on a MAC. At this time, we have to keep our system requirements to IBM compatible PCs only. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Do you support any browsers other than Internet Explorer?
We are working out some final details with Firefox configuration and performance, but at this time we are still unable to announce complete support. We should be able to provide more details soon. Other browsers, including the new Safari browser, are undergoing compatibility testing but we have no current plan to release official support at this time.

Search the Gen III forum for a thread on this. Basically, the Toyota Tech support site is VERY Windows-centric & requires IE plus special plus-ins only available for IE.

It does not appear to be possible to use a Mac or any Mac-compatible browser to access the site & view/download files.

I have used TIS with a Mac. You need to use Safari and then spoof the User Agent (Develop menu) to be Internet Explorer.

Don't worry, its not as dangerous as using IE on a PC.
