Last week, I disconnected the battery to bring it in and charge it, just because I haven't been driving the car that much and it has been really cold out. I noticed that after I did this and put it back in, the first day, my auto up and auto down drivers' window function didn't work. Later on that day, it started working again.

Is there a reason you can't take off the "day mode" for the Navigation if the dimmer is turned all the way up for the interior lights? That is really odd.

Is it normal for the bluetooth connection to keep working with my phone even though the battery was out of the car for 20 or hours? I thought for sure I'd have to reprogram it.

The procedure to reinitialize the auto up/down feature is to raise the window up, starting with the window half-way up, then continue to hold the button for a couple of seconds after the window has reached the top. My guess is that you did this at some point during the day.

Looks like non-volatile memory is used for the Bluetooth setup.

Yes, it is supposed to work that way so that you can have the headlights on during the day, but have the Nav in daylight mode (light background). I use this frequently when I need to have the lights on during the day.

My issue was that I was driving at night, and the navigation was blinding me, couldn't figure out for the longest time how to get it off, other than turning the screen off.

I have one more question- does anyone here use the calendar and maintenance reminders in the MFD? I guess I always knew they were there, just didn't think to use them, and was wondering what kind of warning it gives when the time is near. I guess this stuff would be in the manual, out in the car, out in the cold.

After I re-connected the battery, I noticed that it wiped out all the previous destinations, but kept the one marked home.

You should be able to feel a detent in the dimmer control; full on will be daylight mode, just on the other side of the detent will give full bright display but night mode on the Nav.

I haven't used the reminders built into the MFD, so I can't help you on that.
