I got beat by 9 seconds 'DRAG RACING' on my PRIUS

    I got beat relly bad 'drag racing' my PRIUS by 9 seconds at the local track this past Sunday.

    Here's a picture of the 'happy winner' after the end of the race!!!

    I'd be more impressed if they were able to get across the Grand Canyon on the Hoveround. :madgrin:

    45° ramp would probably work best. Wonder what the launch speed would need to be?

    The minimum speed would depend on the width at the crossing, which way you cross (the north side is a 1,000 feet higher), and headwinds. Given that, I would do it scientifically: go for as much speed as you can get. ;)

    I doubt that the aerodynamics are favorable for a Hoveround with a geriatric pilot. Probably would start to tumble. You would need to strap the pilot in.
