Hell Obama got the Nobel peace prize for not doing anything as well.

Hansen got the AMS award for the same thing:nono:

Did you move away when you saw the sea levels rising? :)

OK, I can now sleep at night knowing that this chart shows no long term global warming! Wth? Over 35 years it seems to be hotter on the right end of the graph. More sleepless nights, damn!

Was that when you moved to Australia and imported your Prius from the USA?
You do understand your credibility is eroded each time you lie and get caught out don't you?

I don't live in Australia. I live in Louisiana. The Australia thing is a joke because of an infamous poster here who thinks it makes sense to compare Australia's summer to America's winter.

    Thanks for trying, anyway, Pat.

    Just trying to help.
But it still affects your credibility, and you did deliberately misinterpret that post, you know you did and you do it constantly. You did it to me and that is why I mostly just laugh at your methods and ignore your posts.

Haha, how pathetic your "detective work" about me living in Australia crashed and burned. Sad man :) I could care less about my "credibility" - that doesn't matter. I post facts that people can either try to refute, or they can insult me. But the beauty in dealing with facts is that they stand by themselves.

Anyway, back to the topic, I'd love to see you actually contradict anything I've said related to the topic, etc :)

Interesting that your map of Australia does not include Tasmania, I can only assume you left it off to show the land mass that will be lost in Australia due to rising sea levels over the coming decades. By the way, I personally don't believe the worst Case scenarios people keep quoting regarding sea levels will happen, I actually don't think there is that much ice in the world, however smarter people than me say it is the worst case scenario so maybe we should do something that will after all at least, if nothing else extend the life of our fossil fuel reserves, as a worst case scenario. And overall using renewables will reduce the cost of energy because it adds a new energy source each time a renewable plant or just a roof top solar panel is installed. (Highschool economics, supply and demand) These gains will be offset by reductions in oil, gas and coal reserves so the price wont actually fall but be stabilised to some degree, but because you don't allow adjustment to data in your world then any adjustments will call into question all data in the field.

Looks like we are doomed to sit on our hands and do jack, doesn't it?

Who said you get to drive the discussion? I'll post what I like thanks.
And I won't call you a sad man (which is a direct insult), I will just state facts as I see them.

Basically what you are saying is even your avatar is an attempt to insult another member of PriusChat? Good for you, you are my hero now.

    This is rich!

Nobody cares about you, or your credibility as you have none. We don't have to insult you,, you do that all by your self. Once again, nobody cares.

in pac northwest, we started the year with much colder than normal January, but the summer was the hottest on record here by a long long long way.

old record high temp 100.... we had 3 days in 4 over that including new high 104.5

most consecutive days in 90's 4. new record 5 (it missed being 10 days straight by one single degree)

most days in 90's for single year 5...new record 11... including the hot streak above where temps hit 90 or more (a lot more!!) 9 of 10 days.

now, these may not seem impressive in most areas of the country, but our marine climate gives us an average high temp of 75 in June 78 in july, 76 in august... we usually get maybe a dozen days that hit the mid 80's every year. but 90's are rare and usually come in a heat wave in 2-3 consecutive days.

so ya, it was hot around here...2nd hottest?? well, dont know about that. it should have been the hottest for us, but...

Just to emphasize how RIDICULOUS the idea of mathematically adjusting stations that give poor data is:

How would you write a mathematical equation to adjust for bad data given by a thermometer that is located over a BBQ pit? How would you adjust for bad data given by a thermometer that is located in an asphalt parking lot? It's such a hilariously stupid idea. In addition, the NOAA CRN has never surveyed all of the stations themselves, the only people who do it are Watt's people.

See this link for plotting of the most unadjusted data someone could find (which is still probably adjusted and molested)

Step by step: Is the climate changing? Data analytics

The whole thing is just absurd. The only data I remotely trust is the quasi/fake skeptic John Christy's.

if any change happens, i find it difficult to believe it will be linear. all the methane that is frozen now would be released, whole new populations getting into the car game, etc.

besides, i think that climate change is a sling shot affair. it takes a lot to get it going, and will take a lot to stop it. but after it gets going, it will accelerate.

but why should you care? you wont be here
