If anyone would like the 2010 Prius Owner's Manual and/or 2010 Prius Navigation Manual on PDF, send me a PM (Private Message).

PDFs of the manuals are very handy to have. You can do word or phrase searches and usually find what you're looking for in less than a minute (and almost always faster than if you were to search the hard copy manuals).

And of course, they need no covers.

"Covers? We don't need no stinkin' covers."

That is a brilliant solution to the problem. I found one at a Home Depot and it doesn't have the garish logo that shows on the catalog page. It is just plain black and looks great and holds all the manuals perfectly, as you said. I just threw the covers I got into the garage somewhere. Much better looking and handy too. Dropped it down in the cubby hole under the back floor.

Is it available on homedepot.com? Keywording 257 138 yielded nothing.

This pouch from Home Depot looks like it might be a near perfect size at 8.75" x 6.5" x 2.25":

    [IMGLINK]http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/productImages/300/25/255508df-ce98-4863-a847-77aebea71c28_300.jpg[/IMGLINK]

McGuire-Nicholas Single Pkt poly Tool Pouch - 1DM-039P at The Home Depot

I ordered this 8.9" netbook sleeve from ebay for $5 shipped (it supposedly measures 9.75" x 7.5"):

At $5 I paid too much lol ... just found another ebay vendor that sells it for $3.45 shipped:

8.9-9 inch Laptop NetBook Sleeve Carry Case Bag Pouch - eBay (item 380190976280 end time Jan-22-10 09:44:00 PST)

Ideally, I would have preferred a sleeve where the zipper only went half-way down the width so you could drop or slide the manual documents in easily.

I'll let people know how it works out.

I found it. Just put those six numbers into the keyword or SKU and this came up: Husky 12 in. Document Bag - 82254N09 at The Home Depot

The picture shows the black cover with the Home Depot logo on it. The actual bag is just solid black with a card holder on the front. I don't think it can be beaten for less than $3.

Thanks. It isn't sold online and is not available locally where I live.

The computer website said the same thing to me, and at the store I went into, in Key West, while I was working there a couple of weeks ago they denied all knowledge of any such thing. I admit I didn't have the SKU with me, but I got them to take me to the contractors section where they had various bags to hold documents for building and zoning permits and there it was, for $2.95 or so. Keep an eye open, it is the perfect solution.

As I mentioned above, I ordered this black, mesh, padded, 8.9" screen netbook sleeve from ebay:

    [IMGLINK]http://pics2.spoonfeeder.com/AieFTPFiles/AIEUser/Q3GRA8BWALAZ/KMBJKWBVV2BV.jpg[/IMGLINK]

It just came in today, and I think it's a perfect folder for the Owner's Manual, Navigation Manual and other documents that come with the Prius.

I like it more than the 10.2" screen netbook sleeve sold by Wal Mart and the 12" long pouch sold by Home Depot that others mentioned above, because it's a better size and fit for the manuals.

Here are two pics (notice and compare the manila cover I got from my dealer):

I also think it looks pretty good.

And it's cheap (these days, I'm all about cheap) ... just $3.45 delivered from this eBay vendor:

8.9-9 inch Laptop NetBook Sleeve Carry Case Bag Pouch - eBay (item 380190976280 end time Feb-21-10 09:44:00 PST)

Or you can get it in green, pink or orange

for $4 delivered from this eBay vendor:

Sleeve Bag Carry Case for Dell Acer 9" 8.9" laptop G - eBay (item 170435820568 end time Feb-20-10 22:18:05 PST)

Thank you very much for the info. On my way to Home Depot - my store has 6 in stock. This is my 2nd Prius and I did get the case with my first Prius. This dealer did not give me one. Back to my original dealer for all my service - really like them.

I've got a call into my salesman to find out what the story is. This is the first new car that I have purchased that didn't come with a nice document case.

I agree. My phone makes a really good manual cover. They all fit inside with space to spare, and it frees up a lot of glove box space.

All of the glove-box-supplied documents (owner's manual, nav manual, warranty, quick start, accessories, ...) are available on techinfo, and they're on the free side of the paywall (unlike the repair books), so they're easy to get.

My Gen 3 did come with a nice, black, ballistic nylon, magnetic-latched, case for all the paper manuals. Now that they're all in my basement, it makes a very nice case for spare bulbs, fuses, OBD dongles, etc....
