Brand of GPS

    After searching until my eyes bled I decided to see if anyone here knows what brand of GPS is in the 2008 Prius and can you download voice skins to it like other GPS units thx for any and all info

    Denso. No, you cannot change the voice. The voice is on a file on the Nav DVD, but no standard option exists for changing it.

    Option us there it's called redo the disk and use klite to do it

    The Prius GPS uses Nuance RealSpeak for text-to-speech. It does not use recorded audio files. RealSpeak has several different accents available, but I don't think anyone has figured out how to switch it.

    The US Prius uses RealSpeak's Jill voice. I don't know if it uses different accents for English outside the US.
