    Installation was Very easy and I am totally satisfied with the final results The advantage of this kit is the ease of installation and the ease of the HU alingment. The OEM HU brackets are not required for the install as they are included in the kit and bolt right in.

    What did you use for steering wheel controls? Did you also get an adapting unit to use the JBL amp? Looks nice.

    Nice HU. It looks like the surround kit does not have the exact color and texture of dash though.
    I hope Metra one comes with exact factory matching as they claimed but I doubt it after observing this one. I have OEM kit from British Toyota dealer and it does need fill in kit but has exactly same finish with rest of the dash. I am willing to swap in after market one as long as it comes with OEM look but I guess I am asking too much:(

    If anyone with Metra kit can share picture of installation, it will be great! I am willing to spend extra $30 just for comparision.

    I have the UK kit which as you say is an exact match. Only problem is getting it all ilned up with the HU and the existing brackets. I'll sacrifice the OEM template for the ease of installation of this kit

    It looks like the bottom part of the dash kit does not line up 100%?

    Is this correct or is it just the way the picture was taken? I just got my kit but still have to install my new HU.

    Still have some work to do. Then will bolt it in and it will line up 100%

    Once you add the new HU you will lose SW control and Bluetooth. I added the SW1jack for SWC and the NX7000 included the bluetooth adapter.

    Is it easy to get the screen out when you detach the faceplate? Looks like there's not a lot of finger space to grab it?

    I was looking at this model but they just announced some new ones coming in March, many with HD radio built in. Hope by then we get a matching surround.

    No finger space to worry about
    Depress Eject and the faceplate will roll back and is removed depressing the eject buttton and lifting out.

    Did you disconnect you 12V battery when you did the HU installation?
    If so, when you connected the battery did you lose all your computer display settings & history?

    In the picture the texture is quite different to surrounding dash. Is it very noticeable in real life? Thanks.

    I did not disconnect the battery just take your time and you should be ok.

    Nice job. Were you able to use your existing microphone or did you have to use the one that came with the unit? Are you thinking about a back-up cam or SAT?
