    True enough, I've been in 1-barLand several times (and you don't need to be at high speed - try backing up a hill with a lowish SOC, goes all the way down rapidly).

    The 40% figure is a "normal" floor for the SOC range. I think we were trying to clarify that the 40% refers to SOC rather than 40% of cells in the batt.

    I run a cab company in santa barbara.we have 2 priuses that r driven 7/24 almost.both have well over 300,000 miles on them .still the same battery packs. They do give codes for low voltage once in a while but they go away by themselves.so u guys know .cheers
