My breaks went out! Could have crashed in to cross traffic! Plus I could not accelerate!

Teh worlds best brakes need tyres in good condition to get any grip at all on ice. The ABS and traction control activate when the tyres slide, not when the brakes are faulty.

Oh no, I think The Force was entertaining in his post. Did you read to the end of the post? I must admit I didn't.

Why do I just now have all these problems?

Today I put my arm on the steering wheel and the car started to make this horrible loud noise. It scared the crap out of me. It immediately stopped after I removed my arm. Just to see if it would happen again I put my arm on the wheel and it made the noise again.

This is another issue Toyota should fix. It can give someone a heart attack. I hope no one else has this problem. Major safety issue is you ask me.

I'm taking my car in to get it fixed.

I think your Prius probably heard some of the recent anti-Toyota hype and does not want to disappoint your expectations

I recently crashed my 2010 prius into the back of an SUV in icy conditions. The SUV slid and crashed into a roundabout. I saw the accident happen about 60 metres in front of me. I was travelling about 30km/hr. when i applied my brakes nothing happened i was sliding, i released the brake pressed again nothing i didnt feel the shudder of the ABS nothing. My wife beside me said i was going too fast and that i was going to hit the SUV I told her there was nothing i could do the brakes where not working... I hit the SUV. I have been driving for a long time I hadnt felt helpless as i did the few seconds before i crashed into the SUV. I am sure there are lots of 2010 prius owners out there that have experienced this helplessness. I hope that Toyota know the full extent of this brake issue and fix it.

And you assume this was the result of the lag between regenerative and friction braking in the 2010 Prius? Did the SUV have regenerative braking lag too?

To me this doesn't look like a design flaw as a failure of friction. You hit the same incredibly slick bit of black ice the SUV hit. No brakes will stop you when there is no friction.

Okay, I understand now. The Prius doesn't come with breaks, but the H1 does. Or maybe the OP added aftermarket breaks.

    Enjoy your H1, Force!

In that it breaks other cars when they come into contact with the H1.... There is a difference.

My SUV has an infinitely long regen braking lag, but fortunately it is compensated for by a huge amount of aerodynamic drag.

OK I'm bored of this topic.

It was all just a joke in case you did not get it. I was getting bored reading all posts about all the "issues". All was a joke except my breaks not working to stop my car. They did not work because there was polished ice on the road and no salt or sand for traction.

The acceleration issue was my foot and was not in MPH but KPH.

I still have a problem with the car making a loud noise when I press the steering wheel. Still needs fixed.

And I misspeled brake just because I knew it would get to a few people. :D

I hope I provided some entertainment in between the "issue" posts.
