Four governors have written a letter taking issue with the Obama Administration's handling of the Toyota recalls. To be fair, the Governors have Toyota facilities in their states.

Indiana governor Mitch Daniels reportedly told Indianapolis NBC affiliate WTHR that he feels the federal government is going too far in its investigation of Toyota floor mat and gas pedal issues, and he even went so far as to question whether the government's ownership of General Motors and Chrysler is influencing decisions.

The governors are voicing their collective displeasure over the handling Toyota's recall of 8.1 million vehicles, adding that the hysteria over the recalls is disproportionate to that of other recalls.

Whether the decision is being influenced by the government's ownership of GM or not, this is a perfect example of WHY the U.S. Government (legislative, judicial, executive) should NOT have ownership in private corporations!

(Nor should have the administration applied such a heavy hand with the courts, giving the unions such a sweetheart deal, while cheating other investors).
