Just received a customer feedback questionnaire from Toyota and wondered if anyone else on here has received one too? I'm just about to fill it in honestly but notice they only allow two boxes to complete for each page for problems.

I regret to say (and I do love my Prius) that I would need more than 6 problem boxes out of about 100 questions!!! Creaking centre console, rattles in the dash, squeaky seats, dodgy indicator stalk doesn't click off properly from left turns, OSF wiper not clearing properly, braking issue (we all know about that one!), poor paint finish prone to scratches, quality of fabrics and quality of plastics used on dash - prone to scratches.

That pretty much covers my gripes. :(

Anyone else had the questionnaire and are your comments on a similar line to mine?

You do seem to have had a few issues. I probably won't get one as mine's a company car. Comapred to you I love my car...

    • Creaking centre console - when it's cold and until the car warms, yes.
    • Rattles in the dash - None so far.
    • Squeaky seats - None so far.
    • Dodgy indicator stalk doesn't click off properly from left turns - I have noticed something like that - will have to experiment further.
    • OSF wiper not clearing properly - haven't noticed that.
    • Braking issue (we all know about that one!) - not been an issue for me.
    • Poor paint finish prone to scratches - I've picked up a few stone chips, but the rest of the paintwork is fine. Some paint is softer than others - mine's silver - yours?
    • Quality of fabrics and quality of plastics used on dash - mine's fine, I believe the plastics are to do with weight and end of life re-cycling.

The only issues that get to me are on a minor level the curvature of the seat back which digs into my shoulders slightly, even with the seat bottom fully depressed, but my major annoyance is the voice recognition. Sometimes spot on, other times a nightmare!

OK, center console doesn't creak as much when car is warm but it's still annoying.
The drivers seat starts to creak when warm but not cold.
Dodgy might be too harsh a description for the indicator stalk but it doesn't click off as easily on left as it does on right turns.
OSF wiper really is a pain. Been like it from new. Other posts in the UK forum show others with this problem.
Poor paint - Mine is non metalic black. Always a bad colour for showing dirt and scratches but I've had black cars before and this one is terrible.
Seats are fabric (not the leather) and really don't appear to be wearing well. I really believe my seat will split at the seams in another 20,000 miles (and no I'm not a complete lard bucket!)

Oh wow another Prius cabbie :)

How are you finding yours? What miles you managed to put on it? Is it proving a reliable cab? How do the punters find it? Whats the fuel economy like for you? I'm presently getting about 48 mpg round town. And where abouts do you operate it? I'm up in Harrogate, England.

I haven't put the seat covers on as yet as I don't really do the late night work and also haven't found any good ones. Which did you use? Toyotas own or cheap ones from Halfords?

My cab's off in for its first 10k mile service tomorrow so I'll get them to sort the wipers then.

Finally, have you any pics to post?

    Hi GC,
I got my seats done by an upholsterer close to me,excellent job leather like and waterproof, front and back for €260...bargain!!
I'm just coming up to 276,000klm and haven't had a days problem..wouldn't drive anything else..car is like new inside and out, passengers often ask me is it new and when i tell them the mileage they're very surprised.
I have pics but...and nobody laugh..i don't know how to put them up..LOL..My wife probably knows but i've never asked her:)

I also used up all the space. Really poor timing on their part asking about my level of satisfaction after the shifter jams & I endure their poor customer service.
