It looks like the Japanese (for the most part) are smart enough not to buy anything made by GM. ;)

GM has nothing really new to offer, I'm a GM guy, owned them for a long time, but got tired of the same old thing, vehicles that don't change for decades, engines that don't change, interiors that don't change, sound systems that don't take into account current ways people listen to music. In 2003 I was buying a Chevy Monte Carlo, and the top of the line radio was with a Cassette, which you couldn't even buy in stores any more. GM has improved mileage A LITTLE, but hasn't come close to what a Prius can do, GM had the tech, they just ignored it in favor of the same old. I see small changes, but nothing that tells me GM is on the right track to attract me back, I even looked at the entire GM line to see if I was interested in anything, and the closest I could find was the Cadillac, but its too expensive and doesn't get as good as gas mileage as that kind of money should buy you IMO. Hybrid GM's are pathetic in gas mileage, 1 to 2 mpgs better then the regular model, give me a break.

Have you checked out any GM models since 2003? Give it a shot, you will be surprised.

As a matter of fact, I checked out both GM and Ford when I was looking for a replacement vehicle during C4C. The only car that I was impressed with was the Ford Fusion Hybrid. The Malibu Hybrid was nice but the mpg was a joke.

Yes I have, and as I explained, the only one that I liked was the Cadillac, but I gave my reasons why even thats a joke. Nothing to surprise here, I follow GM, still hoping for them to get their act together and surpass the foreign brands, but thats a long way from now.

The only suprise is how feeble GM is at appealing to those wishing to reduce their sponsoring of terrorism (AKA: buying gasoline).

    Where's my damn Volt?!

What Malorn continues to either ignore or not comprehend is that most of us here are not Toyota fans, but fans of reduced consumption. Since the Prius is the best practical (or least worst) option to that end... we are Prius fans. (Sorry Daniel, the ZAP can not meet most of our needs)

Yet all you do is bash Toyota in general. Well... simply make something that can compete with it and most of us will be interested in it. That's how you get customers...not by just badmouthing your competition.

Malibu, LaCrosse, Traverse, Enclave, Acadia, Equinox, Terrain, Yukon, Tahoe, Silverado, Sierra, Corvette, Camaro, CTS, Escalade, as good or better as any vehicle in their segment in the world. Soon we will have regal, cruz and volt.

You're right in the fact that GM does not have a vehicle to compete with the Prius. I don't bash the Prius, just all the misinformation on here and in society about GM, ford, and toyota. like the stuff toyotafleetmanager was yapping about yesterday. The Prius is a great car and dominates its segment as it should.

Then why do you think Toyota bashing here is helpful? Or do you just find it a cathartic hobby? Most of us do not like the Tundra or other Toyota offerings, we are strictly Prius fans. Yet, that's what you always come down to when the MPG issue comes up. You point out comparisons with say a Tundra and a GM truck. We don't care about any of those vehicles! Come back when you CAN compare to the Prius!
