I've been waiting for my-weather mats since I picked up my car in October. I figured they'd be selling them again since the problem was actually with gas pedals and not with the mats. Of course, the dealer knows nothing. Does anyone know when (if ever) they'll sell these mats again?

    TIA!

How do they compare with the mats from Weathertech?

I have the all the Toyota weather mats I would be glad to sell. I used them for 2 months. Make me an offer. I have the two front seat mats and the one that goes across the back seat. I also have the one that goes in the very back. They do not protect the car from weather.

The WeatherTech mats are a little better, they have rim around the mat to keep small amounts of water in after it melts off your shoes. On a winter day with the WeatherTech mats your carpet will get soaked unless you put towels on top of the mats.

I can post pics if you are interested.

Here is a pic of the Toyota OEM weather mat.

You can see that there are no boarders around the top of that mat. Any snow, mud or water that comes off your shoes flows on to the carpet.

Here is a pic of the WeatherTech mats after I walked through snow once and the car heat melted the small amount of snow off my shoes.

Here is that same pic with the mat lifted up.

If you get in and out of the car on a snowy day you will get 10X the water in that pic. I keep a towel in the car to soak up the water. I also have a scrapper under left side of the mat to stop the water from flowing over the low border.

Other thing really bad about the WeatherTech mats is there are no fins to keep your shoes from sitting in the pool of water.

When you get in your car after it is sitting for a few hours that pool of water is 20 deg F and your feet sit in it and freeze.

This is a pic of an OEM Toyota weather mat from my 2000 4Runner. Notice the nice high boarder around the mat and the large fins in the middle that stop your feet from sitting in water.

Those are great mats. If funny a company called WeatherTech can not produce mats that work well in bad weather.

I don't believe that mats were the cause of the accident. I mean if they had it pinned in place, it wouldn't of gone near the acceleration pedal..

Sad part is I had the dealer include all weather mats in my purchase. I have had a "We Owe You" form sitting in my car since Oct now. Still no word of when the mats will be available?
