OK. Walking in the local mall I see a GIII Prius as top prize in a "lottery" by some charitable organization. Sign over car "Supplied by Mayfield Toyota - value $40,276". So I check online with Toyota Canada and find the "fully loaded" price for the GIII Prius in Canada is $37,395 (technology package). Have they still not learned? Are they still slimeballs?

There is too much money here. People will pay whatever they ask!

Maybe they added body kit and 3M crystalline premium tint like the Prius Aemulus?

Price with GST would be $39,264.75. $1011.25 for delivery and dealer prep?!!!

    Sorry, I can't post what I'm thinking!

Oh, and the car was stock without any "dressing".

Sounds about right for a vehicle after taxes and fees.

It's more like $1,400 for Freight/PDI David. Also, different dealers will charge different EBH prices. If you're not careful, the dealer will show you the "Alberta" standardized price on "Build & Price" which is about $100 more than if you were to enter a specific dealer and price your Toyota. I caught my dealer doing that and got them to reverse the charges.

Just for fun, I priced out one for Ontario... it's $43,800!!!

Maybe to create hype for the lottery prize they rounded up?

Well it's $2 per ticket so I'll probably buy one. Otherwise, at those prices it will be a long time before I'll be buying the car! You could buy -two- Kia Souls for that!

The 2010 was supposed to be less expensive than the GII, but that was all smoke and mirrors!

That's the technology package, though. A base model will be considerably less than that ($9k plus taxes). Oh and a 2010 isn't less expensive than the 2009.

It is if you look at the price right at launch ($27,500 for the 2010 vs. $27,710 for the 2009) but the price for the '09 was bumped from $27,400 at the beginning of '09.

    don't forget the under coat!
