Picked up the car and drove it home FINALLY!

Weather was horrendous once I got into New Jersey. I was impressive to say the least. 51.8 MPG for the 270 mile journey in blistering cold and through a blizzard on the final 20 or so miles.

    My immediate impressions. Mostly good.

I can't stand the cheap plastic feel of the underside of the steering column, plus I feel that it may eventually start to rattle since it isn't exactly very secure feeling.

The bisque interior looks like it will be a nightmare to keep clean, but I am still glad I got it over the dark gray interior.

The smart key is my favorite feature. Just wish I had it on all of the doors and the hatch :(

I left the car running for about 15 minutes because I forgot to hit the off button. This will take some getting used to.

Overall, I feel like I got a great bargain for all the features I am getting and I get to feel extra smug for not buying into the whole media frenzy.

270 miles and I am not even on half a tank!! I did not buy this car for the environment, but it sure is nice to not need to stop for gas!

Congratulations on your purchase. A can or two of ScotchGuard fabric protector may help the bisque issue.

Today was my first full day with my new 2010 Pearl Prius III. It did not survive :(

I was backed into by a front end loader :(

I'm without my Prius for at least ten days :(

    OMG...I'm soooo sorry.
I've had fresh paint damaged within a month but never on my first full day. That's got to be close to a record.
Did you take any pics?...:(

Geez. Well, you were not *really* planning to go out driving in the blizzard, right ?
Anyway, I'm curious: were destination charges tacked on, and how many miles were on the Prius ?

Well, they have many to choose from. If you are anywhere near the DC area, they will even pick you up from a train station.

I kept hearing that they are high volume dealership so they can afford to sell below invoice. I think they are just clearing out old stock. They seriously have A LOT of cars.

Autotrader.com is how I found them.

This may sound funny, but I was so happy with my dealer (San Francisco Toyota), that I bought a second vehicle from them a couple of months later, even when I had to pay MSRP on my Prius. Market was a bit hot during the C4C, and my other option was to rent and wait, but that would have been more expensive. My only regret is that I did not have a clunker (or anything else) to trade in.
