I meant the other way around, left lane to right lane. If the left lane is blocked, then someone in the left lane isnt driving very nicely. Sorry for the confusion

AmmOBob has it right - you are being stalked. I sure wish somebody would stalk ME

Lucky bugger. Must be that thick blond hair of yours

Yes, those of us who are "folically challenged" resent guys who don't have to even THINK about having a head of thick luxurious hair

One of my bumper stickers reads "God bless our troops, especially the snipers." For some reason, people don't like following too closely, or even parking next to me

Yep, I agree. It might even be more than his blond hair, some women just love round boy butts. That's another problem of mine, my nice person is getting WAY too big in middle age!

    :pound:

    Evil! Funny, but EVIL!

That's what happened last fall after our surprise early snow. Everything was icy, I already had the factory studded Nokian winter tires on my FJ

Light turns red, I easily stop, then feel a weird bump. Some FJ's have a problem with the slip joint in the rear drive shaft, sometime when you come to a stop it binds, then the entire vehicle "lurches" as it releases

Except my FJ didn't "release" it just sat there with the rear end up a bit. I looked in the mirrors and noticed this car somewhat sideways behind me. I got out, yeah it was pretty icy. This punk in a ricer managed to slide into me, he actually rode under my receiver hitch

It was kind of comical. His Acura was pretty badly trashed in the front end, rad gone, antifreeze leaking out, and all I had to show for it was a few scratches under my receiver hitch

The cop was debating the best way to get his car out from under my FJ, I suggested I shift into Low range, engage the rear locker, and just drive ahead. Worked fine, but unfortunately I managed to pull the hood and most of the plastic front end of his car off in the process

I seriously was laughing too hard to even THINK of taking a photo!

Wonder if that dumb punk ever tailgated anybody ever again?

I had a similar accident years ago in Fargo. Icy road. My studded tires stopped me and I got rear-ended. Except that my Honda Civic didn't fare as well as your truck. The other guy was at fault and it didn't cost me anything, but it was a royal pain in the nice person having to get my car fixed, and drive a rental car (which the other guy's insurance paid for) in the mean time.

Don't forget that here in Manitoba, we have that communist do-gooder "no fault" Provincially run car insurance scheme called Manitoba Public Insurance Corp, AKA "Autopac." It's a provincial Crown Corp, thus immune from audit, investigation, or lawsuit

In a practical sense, what Autopac means is say a guy is s***faced, and mows me down in a pedestrian crosswalk. Unfortunately, I don't croak at the scene due to prompt EMS response.

Instead, I spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair, taking a crap into Depends. The guy who mowed me down does NOT have to ever worry about me suing him, not for one red cent. He probably won't even spend any time in jail.

It would be entirely up to ME - and my attorney - to try to scratch any sort of settlement out of MPIC and Workman's Comp. Which is pretty much a hopeless cause

Which is why I have Director's Insurance through my company, tons of private disability insurance - all a writeoff of course - to ensure if that day ever does curse me, at least I won't have to move into a rat-infested apartment and change my own Depends

I always try to help out in difficult situations, in fact that's EXACTLY what I would have done!!
    Poetic Justice!!

The only difference between you and me, I would have muffled the laughter, and snapped lots of shots.of course for insurance purposes only..and YouTube.:D

I have executed my share of reverse passes. I have also faked a right turn and gone into the right turn lane so they would go by.

    :D Possibly.

I don't have bumper stickers for the simple reason that I don't want to give people valid reasons to tailgate me.

As soon as the Plug-in Prius is available, I'm planning on letting someone rear-end me so I can run up their insurance, get my car fixed, and then trade it in for a Pi-P. Until that time, I don't want to mess with it.

Best advice I ever read was ,if you are being tailgated then slow down.
It puts distance between any car in front of you so you will be less likely to have to brake suddenly .If you did hit the car in front of you you would be sandwiched.
Also if you keep slowing down the tailgater will turn red with anger and eventually pass you.
    It works every time.
Worst thing you can do is speed up.
You are just going to be in bigger trouble at high speed getting rear ended.

I won't admit how I know this, but in Illinois Defensive Driving school, they teach you to slow down if you are being tailgated. It's also in the Rules of the Road: Rules of the Road

I used to have the PDF version in my glovebox. I often threatened to throw it at people who didn't seem to know them. Of course, my windows were rolled up so they had no idea but I felt better.

In this age of cellphones, it can take a very long time for a phoning tailgater to finish the call and regain enough road consciousness to recognize the low speed.
