Good luck with your attempts to tar the media for reporting on the issue. This issue has got legs and there are something like 15 reports of post-recall sudden acceleration already that NHTSA is looking into. Here is one: [ame=http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/35704262#35704262]msnbc.com Video Player[/ame]

Boy ... I must really be missing something. The video is supposed to prove a criminal coverup? Um, you're still mixing issues. Yes, repairs are still an issue. But you WERE talking crimes/coverup ... now you're switching back to repairs. Investigating willfulness is not tantamount to taking Toyota to criminal court ... much less proving it up. In fact your prior post (msnbc/AP story) pretty much laid that out in that prosecuters aren't saying anything more than they're looking into make sure there IS no evidence of willfull deception/coverup. Get it? Making SURE there was no crime does NOT mean there IS a crime. Certainly the Toyota hatrid drum beaters like to spin it that way, but last time I checked there was this philosophy of innocent until proven guilty? Or is the new standard now "guilty as soon as the A.G. looks into it to make sure there was no crime(s)".

Making sure there is no evidence of willful deception/coverup does not mean anything more than that an investigation is occurring into the facts. If the facts show a coverup, an indictment will be issued. There is a presumption of innocence, which is why the statements are worded the way they are.

Time will tell whether there was a coverup or not.
