There is a slight popping noise that comes through the stereo whenever I listen to my iPhone via the Prius USB Interface.

Who else is experiencing these popping noises?

I have not yet tries Bluetooth, but can anyone tell me about the quality/reliability of the sound?

Does using Bluetooth for music interfere with the car's phone?

I use BT with my iPhone- I don't like the USB interface for the USB connected device. FWIW I keep an 8GB flashdrive with my music on the USB port but use BT played via my iPod app on my iPhone. It doesn't interfere at all with the phone use. Also, when you stop iPd and then return to using the BT connection the player remembers where you left off and continues from there.

I don't get any popping sound from my USB flashdrive...though I hardley ever listen to it.

Haven't heard any background popping or other objectionable noises via the USB connection on ours yet.

I have the same issue on my 2010 IV. Distinct popping sounds at various intervals during songs. If I play the same song from my iPhone 3G using the AUX in cable, the pops are not there. I have determined that the popping is NOT due to cellular transmission interference--it occurs even when the phone is in airplane mode with all of its transmitters off. The sound also is NOT due to EM interference from the Prius drivetrain, as it occurs when the Prius is off and the radio is powered in Accessory mode. This is likely a defect in the USB audio in connection and I intend to have my dealer replace the radio under warranty.

Interesting. I get a message on the iPhone that it is not compatible with this accessory. Meaning the Prius is an accessory, I presume.

My 3G iPhone has had this same message as well....but it is sporadic. I have had my iPhone give me the same message inconsistently with my Kensington FM Transmitter (Which I was able to give away yesterday due to my New Prius having a way to play my iPhone through the car!)

If you look at the little USB Insert paper that came with the 2010 documentation, it says the iPhone is not compatible with the Audio System!

I haven't had the popping noises. Just find it annoying that when I try to pagedown the playlist on the iPhone Ipod function on the NAV Screen, (when paused), it will immediately start playing the top podcast on the NAV Screen, rather than let you select what you want.
