Toyota Reportedly Recalls 2004-09 Priuses to Investigate Gas Pedal Issues

    That might not hold up if/when the data logging results get released. If Toyota continues to stonewall on releasing details on the data logging function, they are going to get bitten. The stonewalling is constructive obstruction of justice. In a criminal proceeding, that generally results in someone getting free room and board, but restricted visitation privileges.

    I think Toyota is still in a collective state of shock. This will be talked about in business schools for generations.

    I don't know if it is a state of shock. It is looking more and more like business as usual for a company that is in denial. They are practically screaming that it is a floormat and/or accelerator pedal contraption issue. They have professional denial merchants (like Exponent who seems to have published a study denying that second-hand smoke was hazardous...) that are complemented by amateur denial merchants/apologists posting on the Internets (what you are seeing on PC is replicated at the other Prius sites).

    And yet the cars continue to have problems. I wonder what March sales results for Toyota are looking like.
