Here is a pic of a temporary brake fix invented by an ingenious rural mail carrier. :peace:

I don't buy it, that'd never stop you even if you did deploy it beyond 50%.

Admit it - you just use it to bash in boxes as you zoom by swinging it like a rodeo roper.

I thought they used their AK-47's
    ;)

But . . . never being one to miss a good tangent. Hey! Right hand steering? Do they make Camry mail carrier versions? If so, I'd LOVE to swipe one of their driver seats with lumbar support.

My guess is that the OP is sitting in the passenger seat and using his left hand to steer with the LHD steering wheel. I further guess that the center console is removed so he can access the pedals with his left foot.

I though USPS delivery vehicles are all RHD for convenience. Maybe the Prius was also RHD?

The rural carriers do not drive USPS vehicles. You have to supply your own car for that job. Most use a normal car with an automatic, and reach across to steer and run the pedals.

I recall one of our members removing the center consul to make this task easier.

Seems to me that driving on the wrong side of the road would be safer than not being able to fully access the controls..

Thanks for sharing a laugh with me folks. Yes, I sit in the passenger seat and reach across to the existing steering wheel and foot pedals. It is fairly effortless in the Prius, (not a long reach). I did move the center console back about 6 inches, other carriers just remove it completely. I had thoughts once about importing a RH drive Prius from England or Australia, but it would not be cost effective.
