Latest thoughts on Enginer Li Battery system

    The threads on the Enginer system are long. Can someone boil down the current thoughts on the system? I drive 20-30 miles a day. It can be local streets if necessary. I want to know if the current revision of the product is worth investing in for better mileage. Thanks for your help.

    So now you have both sides.

    Every PHEV user will tell you that that their system is the best.

    No PHEV system will pay for itself in a reasonable amount of time. I figure a 10 year ROI on my Enginer system.

    Enginer is the lowest cost. It is very simple in design. It has had some problems in implementation but is getting better.

    I would suggest that you contact an installer in your area. I think the key to having good results is to have someone that is knowledgeable with the system to help the user to get a good install and good support after the install. The biggest problem I see is users that have done DIY but do not have the expertise maintain the system if it goes out of balance.

    Heh, not if you're hoping to save money. Only the higher end / more expensive conversion systems stand a chance of lasting 10 years anyway...

    Will mpg improve ? yes
    Will the fuel savings cover the cost of the system ? Not for a long time, if ever.
