    Hello All,

With talk on the forums here lately about wondering when Toyota will start selling OEM All Weather mats again I thought I would grab a few pics during a SSC 90L (Pedal Reshape Recall). Toyota in light of the pedal entrapment issues have redesigned the OEM All Weather floor mats that they offer. They've made them entirely useless IMO. I snapped these pics during a 90L on an 08 Toyota Avalon. This particular Avalon had the Toyota All Weather mats and per Toyota we are to replace the older mats with the new redisgned mats during the 90L. [off the record, I'm hinting for you 2nd Gen folks to remove your all weather mats before having your 90L performed, other wise your current mats will be replaced with the crap pictured below] The old mats are turned in to our parts department where they are cut up in squares and returned to Toyota.

Here all the new mats compared to the old ones. Enjoy!

oye. Time to get some Canadian all-weather mats!!

Even then I noticed our all-weather mats are much lighter than before (fortunately, the design is still the same). They still have hexagons to hold water/slush/mud/sand as well as two channels that run the perimeter in case anything overflows. Very well designed.

Wow the new ones suck! The water will simply spill over with them being so shallow.

I am very disappointed with the new redesigned mats. It does not seem to handle the "All Weather" any longer. Did they intentionally "crippled" it to minimize the cost of replacing them? I can only speculate...

On the other hand looking at the design, the new one looks thinner. Was it designed to go over the fabric mat?

Got a set of WeatherTech mats for our 2010. They hook on the retainers correctly and the pedals clear it easily. And they are nice and deep, yet soft.

This is NOT a recommendation, but...I'm just saying. ;-)
