    Hmmm, so GM made a $4.3 billion loss for the period July 2009 to December 2009. :eek:


    Call me a cynic but when did the Toyota problems start to hit the press? :mod:

    My #1 question: was this an anticipated loss or was this expected as part of the "turnaround"?

    I'm not a financial guy but I think you know what I mean. Sometimes I hear corporate heads talking about anticipated hits to the budget for restructuring, write-offs, material purchases, etc.

    It was for the most part expected. The key will be financial results for the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2010 and calendar year 2010.

    I checked the forums first to make sure I wasn't posting a duplicate thread. It is odd that it made the news here but not in the US, especially as the American people own a 61% share. :eek:

    GM losing $1 billion a month isn't news. If GM had reported a profit of--a shilling THAT would have been news.
