Well its time for tires again, I have had michelin hydroedges, falkin 512, goodyear oem, and bridgestone 960 a/s pole positions in two sizes, 195/60-15 and 185/65-15. well I just ordered one set in 205/60-15 960 pole positions today from the tire rack. bridgestone has a 75 card and since I had a quote from the tire rack the rack honored the old price of $58 a piece. my wife and I both have prius and would love to try the ep100, or the ep422 bridgestones but they don't get the 75 dollar card so I don't know if we will try them this time or not, still on the fence about that. We both think the bridgestone pole positions are the best we have experienced on our Prius enough that we ordered the poles again for my prius. I wrote this to help and want to thank everyone for all the nice info on priuschat. :)

I have BFG G-Force Sports in 205-60-15 on stock rims, and love them for all driving so far. The OEM Goodyears lasted 67,000 miles, but had weird tread wear near the edges, even running 40/38 psi. I now have over 30,000 on the BFGs and see no unusual wear. They are wearing very flat and even across the tread, and I've never had the car aligned since new. They are great in the wet and dry, not snow rated and a little noisy at low speed. I lost about 5 mpgs, due to the fact that they weigh about 5 lb's more per corner than the Integrities, but the improvement in handling was totally worth it. :)

just tested dry breaking of my worn out 195 60r15 bridgestone 960 a/s pole positions. temp 63 deg no sun, stopped 111 ft inflation was 44,42. I may try out the ecopia 100 as the tire rack tested stopped at 101.2 in dry and 105 in wet. I may lower inflation and try again and also try my new set of pole positions before I decide on what tire to buy for my wife's prius.

Pretty cool to see people trying out wider (and better) tires on their Prius. Way to go! First thing I did for my wife's 2005 was get rid of the OE 185s and purchased a set of 16" wheels and 205/55 16 Tripple Tred Goodyear tires. A better tire sure did make a difference in the Prius' handling.

The original 15 inch wheels did finally get a set of snow tires on them this year for a trip south. Just had a set of Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum delivered and will go on the 16 inch wheels Wednesday. I have a set of these tires on another car, and they are super quiet. Hope they work out as well on the Prius.

I realized I never posted about the tires I put on. Yokohama ADVAN AD08 in 205/55/16. In short: expensive 180 treadwear tires, big gas mileage hit, car feels like/better than a Porsche Boxster. Probably not worth the money even if you like going unreasonably fast around corners.
