Latest update: went to dealer yesterday to see what was new and heard the same thing as last week. "We're still waiting for the part and as soon as it comes in we'll be working on your car right away."
I took Tumbleweed's suggestion and E-mailed directly to Toyota. The auto response thanked me, but let me know that due to the high volume of mail traffic it could be weeks before they could respond to my letter. That was surprising!
Oh, well; nothing left to do, but be patient! Thanks for all your suggestions though, I appreciate it.

Well, there has been good news! At the end of March, the very last day; we got our little red car back!! And... after driving it for the last few weeks I can say that all is well and working perfectly. It was unfortunate that a special piece had to be ordered from Japan and there was a delay; but all is well that ends well!

I'm hoping for many hours of great fun with the little car. Have run about 3 tanks of gas and average about 57 mpg; mostly highway. One day I plan to break the 60 mark! LOL!!

    Re: Update Troubles? Anyone else?

Sounds really bad to me. They probably did something to it and need to fix it. I doubht a new car will have traction control faulty. I know the Prius has some cheap built interior but I don't believe their system like that is that bad.
Bascially I don't buy it at all.

Is there a typo in your vehicle description? 2010 Prius IV with the Advanced Tech Pkg. does not exist!

    Hi ,
I have had the A0B Prius ABS Actuator Software Update: done in March 2010 and still the issue with the car lurching forward on a pothole or bump with brakes gently applied while going forward at under 25mph is happening. I have just left my car off at the dealer for a 15000 service and the technician stated that many people are complaining of this issue ( inlcuding himself !! ) .

    My question is :-
Was the A0B Prius ABS Actuator Software Update designed to fix this specific problem or was it for something else .

    Txs

My Gen III V still has the problem. Apparently, when you go over a bump the regen braking cuts out. It stays off, and only friction braking works, until the car comes to a complete stop. Since you are losing part of the braking capacity, the car lunges forward. "Normal" according to Toyota. Why 1) this happens at all, and 2) it doesn't instantly reset is beyond my understanding. As far as I'm concerned it is a real and present danger. There will definitely be a law suit directed at Toyota if I should get into an accident because of this.

The problem with this is....Can you prove it?
All those brake loss lawsuits were a waste of time because the ecu didn't log anything.

I just brake much harder and earlier than I normally would. The floating doesn't surprise me anymore. It's just annoying.
