no one told you to get a beige interior. Beige is only available in North America. The rest of the world gets Dark Grey with the occasional Misty Grey (Aqua) available.

I understand what you're saying about crumbs. My theory has always been that anything which shows up on a dark/black interior can typically be rectified with nothing more than a powerful shop vac whereas anything which shows up on a light grey or beige interior typically requires some sort of stain removal process.

This is why I try to get the darkest interior possible.

Once again, you are wrong again. My Toyota Dealer told me I could get a "Bisque" Interior, he just never mentioned that everything else in the car Toyota Sells wouldn't match. I had the temerity to expect that the Prius would be appointed to match and compliment the color choice offered by its manufacturer instead of the patchwork interior of grey, black, and anything else that didn't match. The 2010 Prius interior designed for the Color Blind car buyer.

No, Actually the Problem is that I do have an 'Eye' for color. All available evidence suggests that it is Toyota that doesn't have an 'Eye' for color. I removed their badly mismatched OEM black floor mats, from my new Prius's Bisque Colored Interior, the moment I got home from the dealer. Having an 'eye' for color, I knew I'd never become accustomed to them.

I agree with New Yorker. The lack of color coordination in the Prius is awful. Would it really cost that much to have surfaces that match or at least complement each other? Reminds me of what I heard an interior decorator say on NPR: "In the wrong hands, color is a weapon."

Clearly you haven't shopped around enough. I've given you an example. A Mercedes Benz (e.g. a B-Class) with a beige interior will have a light grey headliner just like the Bisque interior in the 2010 Prius. If you wanted a colour-coordinated match, buy the Gen 2.

I agree it's annoying but to be honest, no one mentioned it at Detroit when we had 3 hours to take the cars apart and browse at our leisure. The Bisque colour is light enough. Some beiges are almost like desert sand and it looks a LOT worse.

Like I said, if you didn't notice it during your test drive, clearly it doesn't matter (until you saw it however days/months later).

The test drive car had no floor mats, and it had a grey interior, they had no Bisque colored interior vehicles to test drive. The grey carpet in my 07 had grey mats, so why would I, or any other normal person, imagine for even a moment that the new Prius model would have mismatched purple, red, yellow or black floor mats ? A normal assumption would be something along the lines of, " Grey Carpeting, Grey Floor Mats". Of course you'd have to actually BE normal to think this way.

I would never own a Mercedes-Benz, it was Hitler's Favorite Car. He drove everywhere in one. Been to the Holocaust Museum yet ? I am delighted to know that for their ridiculously high price they too inflict lousy color combinations on their customers. They deserve it.

Just curious, is it your job to come up with excuses for the errors made in the execution of the new Toyota's, or are you just volunteering your 'opinion' ?

You and I and most people think alike.:) In my original Toyota Prius, a 2007 Touring Edition, I paid to correct the lousy color choices by having a custom colored leather interior installed. But I did have matching carpet and mats from the factory. If that car had come with Black mats, I'd have disguarded them immediately, as I had to in the 2010 so that the interior didn't look strange. I was delighted to see the 'Bisque' which looked nothing like the Tan Mud or Grey Mud color choices I rejected on the 2007. So the black mats that never showed up in any showroom displyed Prius were a total shock on delivery day for my new Prius. I suspect I wasn't alone in that feeling.

Has anyone come across a dash trim kit for right hand drive vehicles?

I also try to avoid Air, beef and eggs. Hitler liked them too.

I'm having a hard time avoiding breathing air though...

You know...I'm sorry and if the moderators here want to ban me for saying it...so be it. I apologize profusely in advance for breaking the rules...honestly but I can't help it.

    You really are a jerk.

I don't believe I saw pics of Bamboo in Misty Grey interior.
Does anybody have that combination and can post pics?

Now I know color is subjective and most of us got use to the color combinations delivered with the Prius, but objectively speaking, it's interesting.

Everybody who has seen my new baby is like "What's up with interior?" referring to black mats and light gray/dark grey combo.

I'm easy going and it does not bother at all but love it or hate it, it's interesting combination.....

You're talking about Misty Gray? The mats are charcoal, the same color as the dark gray in Misty Gray. They're not black.

The mats are different color in the misty gray and the dark gray interior. i have both. the mats in the misty gray are darker than the mats in the dark gray car. i wouldn't say black, but a darker gray than the mats in the dark gray interior. the black mats come with the bisque interior.

Toyota makes 3 different color mats. Here is a seller on eBay that sells all 3 of them.

I think its the gray?? You have to look close!
Buy this kit, the bamboo will look great with
your misty grey interior! Contrasting color is good!!!
Someone posted a gray with bamboo post #44 But I was told it
was not misty gray! Its hard to tell by a photo, you really have to see it in person.

the thumbnail is Misty Grey (you can tell because the console lid at the bottom right is different from the light grey door panel)

Thanks, I did have a look at the bamboo with misty gray and although it does not look bad, not exactly what I was looking for.

I think I've moved onto the dark wood, or my first preference now a carbon look for my black baby. Keep'n it sporty....

If I go dark wood, I know where to go thanks to you guys but need the best fit CF alternative. I'll keep searching the forum but any & all guidance appreciated.

Will also be replacing cloth interior with Misty gray leather that will eliminate 2 tone door panels and console cover.

The bamboo with dark grey looks awesome! I prefer the color contrast to tone-on-tone matchy colors. Too bad Toyota doesn't have a steering wheel kit to complete the look.
