I take mine out of the glove box and hold it up to the windows when ever I use it.

I have FasTrak in the San Francisco area. I keep the transponder in the glove box because I don't want it blocking my view out the front window. It is read by the bridges about half the time. The other half my license plate is read and they bill me by that. I don't worry about it.

Don't worry about it, you keep a lot of people employed that way and they are only using up tax money which California has lots of.

Please enlighten me. It's all automated. I'm still charged for each toll.

No, you're right. It is obviously just as easy to charge a license plate as a transponder. It makes you wonder why they bother to distribute transponders. Maybe because someone back at the office has to look at a photo and send you a bill?

While you are at not worrying, why don't you get one of those covers for your license plate that are polarized and don't allow the cameras to get a clear shot?

I understand that the effort of putting the transponder in clear view might tax you, so what the heck, why bother, it is just the government with their silly rules.

Well, you're not alone, anyway. The internet is full of people who need to comment when they don't know what they are talking about.

I'll do the research for you, OK?:
