On this very site you can get banners from Toyota proclaiming that experts have disproved allegations of faulty electronics...

Toyota's current advertising seems apologetic. Offering extended maintenance plans for free, and hinting that this is a great time to get deals.

Is this the right tone for Toyota? At what point does recognizing that mistakes were made, simply become reminding everyone that mistakes have been made?

The media hype against Toyota does seem to be dying down. At what point does Toyota need to reflect the confidence of being one of the largest automakers in the world?

I almost think Toyota needs to release a new high profile vehicle. If only to have something different and positive to focus on. The media slowly seems to be moving on, IMO Toyota also needs to keep moving forward....Ironic isn't it?

Delete the word "almost" and I'll agree with you: Toyota needs to build a pure EV! :D
