How known is this "secret" center console compartment?

    I didn't know it was there but found it. I had to push-up and pull it out. Curious, how many knew about this already? how many didn't? I don't even know if it's on the owner's manual.

    Yep, that's a fun one. Just another example of the Prius engineers utilizing every possible square inch of storage space.

    Yes, on a 2008. On the front of the center console, below the front cup holders. Pretty awesome! =)

    This same question is asked quite frequently here, so eventually everybody finds it, I guess. Amazing to me is that there are people who don't crawn in, over, under and around the whole car to find EVERYTHING on the first day!

    A lot of PriusChat readers who own a Gen II Prius know about this drawer.

    But I bet a significantly lower percentage of Gen II Prius owners who do not read PriusChat know about this drawer -- even though it's shown in the Gen II Prius Owner's Manual.

    Well, not alot of us read the owner's manual. C'mon, we're men! lol It was just so weird to find it there 'because it's out of view and doesn't just slide out. Pretty awesome, I like it!

    I read the Owner's Manual from cover to cover when I first got my car.

    But the part about the secret drawer clearly did not sink in because I only became aware of the drawer when I subsequently read about it on PriusChat.

    It's mentioned as a teaser in the Canadian Prius brochure ("...and a secret compartment yours to find."). Great hiding place. I store my tissue box in there among other things.
