I just got my new (2nd hand) Prius, 2007, and i love it. I have one question i hope someone can answer.
I am trying to work out how to light up the switches on the steering wheel. Did my first night driving tonight and when i turned the head lights on i assumed the switches would light up too, but they didn't and they are impossible to use at night unlit.
    Can someone help me?

There isn't much lighting on the steering wheel switches. Hopefully you'll eventually learn what each switch does so that you can activate them "by feel".

The steering wheel switches light up automatically anytime you use the headlamps, so you don't have to do anything to light them up. On the other hand, as pointed out above, they aren't very bright. I had the same complaint when I first drove my 2006 at night, but I very quickly got used to the location of the switches and suddenly the switch lighting seemed bright enough.

I would rather have the lights be dim but lit, than have them so bright they are distracting, which is the case with my Ford Explorer.

Are we talking about the radio, climate, and trip-meter controls? The ones that light up in phantom purple on the multi-function display when you brush the real ones with your finger-tips?

What I find less ergonomic is the cruise-control stalk that rotates with the wheel.

The 2007 doesn't have the "touch tracer" display like the 2010 model does.
