Bino - great mods on your Prius. One question though, I thought you sold your Prius??? Or did you return it original condition and sold off the parts?

sold it 2 weeks ago (up to now I'm still in denial that I sold it after all the work I did on the car) .... I returned all the original parts before I traded it in for a 3rd Gen Prius III .....

volk rims are still with me and I would probably be putting it on my Gen 3....

I have part out with most of the parts... sold the JDM headlights, roof rack, tail lights was swapped by a friend... etc...

only remaining parts that I have are the tanabe sustec pro coilovers and 2 sets of used Philips Ultinon D4R bulbs (one 5000k and one 6000k).....

Here's my all time favorite. Problem is their too dang expensive for anyone to practically own:

These are all really nice rims, but theyre also really expensive - I still havent found any I could see myself buying.

I know very little about aftermarket rims and am hoping someone can give me some guidance: I want to spend somewhere between $300-800 for a set of 4 of some good quality rims. I know you get what you pay for, but there has to be an intermediate level rim in this price range. You might say I'm looking for the Pearl drumset of rims, or the MacBook (not the macbook pro) of rims. Something that says, "I have good taste, I know quality and I know what I'm doing, but I don't need to spend a fortune on my car..." Does anybody have brand suggestions or models?

...I never bothered to ask this question for months, and I feel a sigh of relief now. Please help me get started. Thanks so much!

Motegi TrakLites can be had for ~$200 each and are lightweight.
Example (shop around for better pricing):
MOTEGI TrakLite 1.0 (Flat Black) - Custom Wheels and Rims - Car Rims, SUV Rims, Light Truck Rims from Performance Plus Tire

+1 on the Motegi Traklites 1.0. I believe there is a 2.0 version, but IMO the 1.0s are look better and are lighter. You'll want to go with the 5X100 bolt pattern for fitment. I would probably stick with an offset close to stock (~ +40).
If you search ebay for these Traklites, you'll find some retailers with good prices (around the $800 range).
