About a year ago, for awhile GM was issuing press releases about the Volt on a nearly daily basis. Now, it's supposedly coming out in about five months and we haven't heard a peep in weeks. Double-you Tee Eff?

I'm in Ireland and the Volt will most likely never see this Island and i'm beginning to think you folks in the US will either,it'll most likely be called the Vault....because i reckon that's where it'll be kept!!

When your 'car' is some marks on a piece of paper, it is easy to wax lyrical about all its features. Once your 'car' is made of metal, reality sets in. This is not just a GM problem, as the Leaf gets closer to production, folks are finding compromises Nissan had to make.

This is why I only compare cars that exist, cars that don't exist yet are 'perfect'.

Sounds like the same sort of lack of information we have been getting from Aptera for 2 years!

I place some stock in reputation and past history of the car company. If Toyota announces a new car, I expect it to be pretty much as announced. When Nissan announces a car, I figure it will probably be a pretty decent car. When GM announces a car I figure it's mostly lies, exaggeration, and distortion. When a new start-up company announces a car, I figure it's a long-shot. I had high hopes for Aptera, and I still think they could have made a go of it if a few decisions had been made differently. Nobody expected Zap to come through with the Xebra, but they did, against all odds. Zenn's announcements about the City-Zenn were clearly exaggerated, since the time-line was unrealistic, and it was predicated on the EESU, which itself was not credible.

Or the 600 mile range Tesla S i've been hearing of lately!!Yeh right
Show me the 300 mile range S...infact show me the 1 mile range S...for the masses that is...not an entertainment show host or whoever,
In fairness to Nissan, they haven't been yappin on about the Leaf for the last 2 years...all action and no talk i suppose.
