Tesla sends out pre-IPO Swag to owners/reservation holders

    About a week ago we started hearing of current Tesla Roadster owners getting a 'surprise' package in the mail from Tesla complete with T-shirt, cap, coffee mug, travel mug, Tesla Roadster Hot Wheels, and some VIP cards for future buyers.

    Well, just yesterday, I too received a swag package...and I'm a mere Model S reservation holder. I was pretty excited as I've been Jonesing for some Tesla goodies for a while. Only thing I greedily wish they'd have included is a key chain.

    I certainly don't think it's any coincidence that this stuff is all coming out the week before the IPO (this week most likely).

    I envy you your place in line for a Model S. I envy the folks who ordered a Roadster when I was first considering it, and are now driving theirs, while I scoot around in my little three-legged clown car (though it still draws admiration from kids and adults alike), but I couldn't care less about t-shirts and caps and toy cars, or key chains for that matter.

    Give me your place in line for the S and I'll promise to give you all the promotional do-dads they give me, and I'll even have a keychain custom made for you. :D

    LOL! Not gonna get my place in line Daniel. And while I've gotten enough pens, travel mugs, and other junk from drug reps over the years to know not to over value these things, I still enjoy and am glad to have something "Tesla" to wear, display while I wait the next 2 long years for my car.

    What is it if not a hot wheels? I had to remove the velcro 'button' but it says "Hot Wheels" on the bottom of the car.
