I've noticed that when I'm listening to AM/FM, I have the volume turned up to the mid 20s however when I switch to my iPod or XM radio, it's very loud and I keep the volume for those down to around 12 for comfortable listening. Anyone else experience something like this?

I have noticed that the SAT radio volume is louder than the FM radio for the same setting. I have not paid too much attention to what volume settings I adjust to but I do not think it is quite as much as you indicate.

I see the exact opposite with my base audio package. For AUX I have to crank up the output of the iPod all the way and set the stereo volume at 25+. For FM I generally keep it around 15.

I too have the Navi system (Prius V) and have the same thing happening. However, as I have never really listened to FM radio in this car, I hear the difference between the SAT and AM settings. I usually play the SAT around 20-22 volume, but must turn up the AM radio to at least 28-30 for the same audio sound level.

When I turn it back to SAT it tends to be way too loud as I need to lower the volume back to the prior settings.
