Yet another dumb question by me.. that will make two for two :)

How do I get the voice recognition to stop telling me the commands when I want to call someone? Takes 5 minutes to make a call...lol. Tried pressing the voice button then the "off hook" button, but that does not work.

    Thanks man.

Unless I am just stupid, they could be more specific in the manual. I did read about that setting, but the four or five words they used to describe it made me think it was to turn on or off the ability to use voice to set the guidence system.. my bad.

Yeah that threw me off for a bit.. until I saw the word "recognition"....

You could also cut her off by pressing the VOICE button again while she's talking and wait for the beep.

That's my preferred method (at least for now). I started out with the voice recognition guidance off, but switched back recently. If it's on, that gives a verbal cue to any passengers I may have that I'm trying to talk to my car, since they don't notice me pushing the voice command button. It also gives me guidance in case I'm doing something I haven't done before. And, I can still cancel it by pressing twice.

Actually, that's a good point about passengers and voice recognition.

i agree that there are things i can do on it that i do not do a lot, so having "hints" works well for me too
