Im to be a new Prius owner on Friday, and noticed that Safety Connect seems to be posted everywhere in U.S.A. but I find no information of this here in Canada.

I have purchased a Prius fully loaded (tech pack) and SC was never mentioned to me by the dealer.

Can somebody let me know if this option is available in Canada?

    Thanks,

I don't know, but the fact that the dealer didn't mention it has no significance. I know it is available and connected in my car but my dealer didn't mention it either.

Not that I know of. We still have roadside assistance for 3/60,000.

How do we know if we got safety connect? Dealer never mentioned that to me when I bought my car last month.

You'll see an "SOS" button in the overhead controls. I believe it's only on the IV and V models in the US.

Thanks folks. On my way now to dealer to pick up the new baby. Looking forward to not paying $800+ month in fuel. Oh...my trade in... Yukon XL. Only if I could get rid of the Audi Q7

WElcome to the club! tell me as a canadian owner how much you paid for the car and the color? I ve seen many Prius with tech park for 9000$ lower with few km on them, seem that the lower model keep more value that this tech park.......but its a great car!

if i can just sell my Evo......

Thanks..glad to be part of the "club" Fully loaded with deep tint and bumper to bumper extended warranty came to about 40K CDN after PDI/taxes. Well worth it as I can tell over the past two days. Family if fighting to drive it. --Oh, Safety Connect is NOT available in Canada. Don't get this one as for a good majority of Toyota's are manufactured in Kitchener Ontario. Maybe somebody at TCI can speak to our friends south of the border and convince them to add SC to the Canadian market.

Yes but the Prius is built in Japan. The Toyota plant is actually in Cambridge (the other is near Woodstock). Cambridge builds the Corolla, Matrix and RX (it's the only plant outside of Japan to build Lexus cars).

I do not know. I don't really care for Safety Connect (esp. if Ford can offer similar services without a subscription fee)
