Can you fly to GA to purchase one? We purchased a new 2010 Prius III w/Nav yesterday for $22,086.00. I went through USAA who uses AutoNation. If you're not a USAA Member, contact AutoNation and see what they can do for you. Caleb Ewart helped me with my purchase and did an awesome job! Here's his contact info, and tell him Paul T from Georgia referred you!

Dude that's really high. I got my Prius III with Solar roof for 26k + tax and licenses.

Edit: Sorry I just realized that that's tax included. That's not bad. I'd say push for 26.5k and if they don't try and meet at the middle ground. Mine was ~28.4k after tax and stuff but I'm in the OC which tax is 1% less

That's really not enough info if you want to get intelligent responses.

You should include MSRP, sales price, tax, registration, other/doc fees = total.

I got an even better deal at Marina del Rey Toyota, when I was told by someone on here I wouldn't. Talk to Mike Frasca the fleet manager. Made the deal in about 10 minutes, too.

The follow through on treatment by them has been top notch since my delivery a week ago. Just got a call the other day from Mike to give me the info on the tint guy he uses. Getting a free detail next week.

I am a Los Angeles Co. resident and I bought a 2010 Toyota Prius (Package 2) for $25,623.61 (including all tax & fees) at DCH Toyota of Oxnard in Ventura Co., California.

Also in Jan. 2010, I bought 2010 Toyota Prius (Package 3) for $25,976.78 (including all tax & fees), without navigation, at the same dealership. Please note that I bought both vehicles through the Costco Auto Buying Program.

LA tax and license would total about 11.5% of the selling pricing...on average.
The III with NAV package and mats invoices for $25,101 in all colors but white.
An invoice deal + tax and title for LA county = 27,973.46 out the door.
    FYI.
If you wanted that deal, you'd have to find someone willing to go $1473.46 in the hole.

Even better, hopefully it's the color combination you want. Dianne seems to have tons of feedback on the forums.

If you read, I already did once in this thread.

And there are several others, mainly ones will lower sales volumes. Many dealers want to move units just as much as they want to make a profit. They know they'll take a loss on 3 cars but will make it up on 3 others.

But...Considering its now the beginning of the month and all the deals are changing today. I doubt you'll find any dealer willing to do anything for a few weeks. Its always easier at the end of the month when the dealers have a better idea of how many units they need/want to move.

Team Toyota in Atlanta, GA still has the $3000 below Invoice for USAA Members, that's $22,436 for a III w/Nav. I purchased on on 31 July and managed to get mine for $22,086. We're very happy with the deal we got. So, yes, there are dealers who are willing to make deals, you just have to look...

Like death and taxes, this is one of the absolute truths that doesn't seem to change. Car-buying how-to tips always recommend buying a car at the end of the month, maybe even the last day, right before closing.

I made my deal on the last day in June. Whether I could have gotten the same deal the next day, I don't know. But shortly thereafter, the sales manager said that mine was the salesman's last sale before he then left the dealership. I wonder if my deal had anything to do with it.

The reason I say this is because a much closer dealership wouldn't even counter the offer he had made (the difference was $1000). Likewise, the trade allowance I got on my old 2006 Prius was sight-unseen. My old car was making a rattling sound from the engine compartment (sounded like a loose heat shield) but maybe it was something substantially more serious (like maybe the CVT was crapping).
