I think thats true but if you had your setting set to private facebook reset it a few times to public and if you did not notice the change ( most people just keep clicking OK just to get where they want to go not bothering to read anything ) then all your stuff was made public.

If I were participating in facebook I would want my stuff private and only viewable to my friends. I would not want it to become public out of the blue because the company wanted to reset everything or change something.

I have my own personal website and thats good enough. If I want people to see something I will put it there and not some crappy free service that reminds me of geocities websites.

 

More and more web site comment columns require a Facebook account to post. So I used a 'spam trap' e-mail account and noticed that every now and then, it suddenly gets an upward jump of 'very friendly ladies' and 'pharmaceutical' offers. So I go back and reset my privacy settings until it happens again and keep my information somewhat vague.

I think the only way a PriusChatter DOESNT win is if there's some Japanese Prius superfreak in Japan who finds a loophole to enter the American contest. Haha.

That said, wouldnt it be cool if all PriusChatters could have a party together?

 

Great! I'm up for a plant party. I'm just a quick trip from Georgetown. I'll keep and eye out and schedule open for whatever is nearest. Ever since I found out about Green Drive Expo I have wanted to go to a Prius heavy event and see some other vehicles in a large gathering.

 

Having just looked at the videos and pictures on the Facebook site for the contest, it looks like Toyota is getting just what it wants, people from those new demographics they have been shooting for with the 2010 Prius. It doesn't look pretty.

Wayne, with all due respect, what does that mean? I would be interested in your thinking here.

Oh, and if it isn't obvious, the contest is still open, and I don't think we've seen even a fraction of PCer passion represented in the contest entries. Shame, because we do plan to share some SPECIAL INFORMATION to those who get to attend.

wish I had the bandwidth

I would've entered if there was something special about my Prius and if I had the bandwidth. I've been very busy w/work and other things. I also figured I didn't stand a chance against some of the very hardcore enthusiasts here, esp. those who have really personalized their Prius.

I've been a Facebook user for awhile and don't post much that I'd consider private/problematic, if the rest of the world saw it.

Looks like I missed it too. Have been busy with other things, including stuff that my Prius had got me into. Oh well. They can still invite me.

Based on the finalists I'm putting my votes (remember one vote per day) on the gal from Fullbloom bakery. (O.k. I'll admit that the idea of possibly snagging a free bakery item has swayed my decision.)

Karen Trilevsky is the owner and has created the first LEED certified commercial bakery and has committed to buying a fleet of hybrids for her business. (Yay!) Now if we could just get Wayne M. to install some block heaters for her, and maybe give them some ecodriving lessons, she'd be saving even more money!
