Just picked up our new Prius last night. I've got the navigation package. Two things I could not get done. I couldn't get the garage door opener programmed. It kept flashing slow but the speed never picked up. I also couldn't get my Samsung Impression to download my contacts and phone numbers. What should I try???

This had been discussed somewhere in the Forum already. Please search the Forum or Google for answers. I did found the solution by searching and was able to set the Homelink garage door opener. Note that even after successfully set it up, you still have to press on the button for a second or 2 to make it work.

The instructions in the owner's manual worked for me--you have to follow them exactly. If you have a rolling code opener (I believe all garage door openers made in the last 10+ years are), you need to press the button on the opener unit in the garage at the appropriate time. Also, I've found with various cars that you need to keep the remote very close to the mirror during the process, and if the remote battery is weak it could cause issues.

Also--opener manufacturer specific instructions are on HomeLink

Thanks,I find the car and all the manuals a little intimidating but awesome. This is our first Toyota. Had a Honda Accord for 19 years. Found the fix to my garage door problem. Had to go on the homelink site and find the manufacturer of the opener . Their procedure is a little different then the Toyota manuals but it worked. Love this website and the information available.

While it is about the 2004 to 2009 Prius, this manual gives sage advice without reading like it was translated from Japanese.
