I'm plannning on ordering the parts and compiled a list from Champion Toyota. I've found everything except for the coolant flow valve. Would anyone happen to know the part number? Thanks

My wife said she got an engine check light last night. So, I went and retrieved the code and it was P1121. How timely is that? I'm waiting to drive another 2500 miles before I hit 200k just so I can save 15% on my service repair. :) I'm thinking twice now. Anyways, are independent shops just as capable in performing the service repairs mentioned earlier? I might see if I can find an private shop that will result in a substantial savings, such as Moss Alley Motors here in Seattle.

Unless the independent shop specializes in Toyota hybrids, I would question whether it will be successful. <Frankly, some Toyota dealerships have trouble performing some of the services based upon PC postings. 2G engine coolant replacement, in particular.>

You could defer replacing the coolant valve until the car hits 200K miles, if that will help the affordability of the service.

You might want to ask this question in the Gen III Maintenance and Troubleshooting section as the Prius you have is a Gen III.
